Product/ UX Designer

I’m Natalia Drachinskaya, a product designer in the Bay Area. I take an idea from the first user interview to something people actually use — two of my products are live today, and I still ship to both.
More than ten years in brand and communication strategy at BBDO Moscow and Adventa Lowe — Nike, Jeep, Chrysler, Miller, Efes, Frito Lay. Campaigns there were judged by the numbers they moved: awareness, per-capita consumption, new occasions to use the product, new habits formed around a brand.
That is the lens I still design with: a product has two audiences, the people who use it and the business it has to work for.
Since 2012 I have kept an independent practice as an artist — collectors, commissions, teaching — carried through a relocation from Moscow to the Bay Area. A self-published photobook, made during a residency in Tokyo, all but sold out its 92-copy edition and won the Luma Dummy Book Award at Rencontres d’Arles (2025). Solo exhibitions in Tokyo and Mountain View, CA; workshops at Pacific Art League and Gamble Garden, Palo Alto.
